What it does

Generates one image from your prompt or from a connected scene. One frame, not a set.

When to reach for it

For moodboard tiles, storyboard frames, or any single visual a canvas needs.

⚠ What it is not

Not a set, and not a moving image: one run produces one still frame, so a moodboard’s worth of tiles or a storyboard’s worth of scenes costs one run each. It is also not an input the Compositor can use — the cut takes video clips only, and an image wired into it is dropped. The frame’s real next step is Video Gen, which can take it as the starting image of a clip.

Worth knowing

Every run costs credits. It is worth writing the prompt properly before generating rather than iterating your way there.
