What it does

Speaks a script — one voiceover track, in a voice you choose.

When to reach for it

After Script Gen, when the script needs to be heard rather than read. Also useful for accessibility drafts.

⚠ What it is not

Not music: this is text-to-speech — a script read aloud in one of eight prebuilt voices, with no melody and no backing track. Music Gen is the method that scores a scene. And the take comes back unmixed: the Compositor cannot yet lay it under a clip, so the audio travels to Export instead.
