What it does

Pulls the assumptions out of the canvases you already made — Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas, MVP, the question zero — and places each one on a 2×2 of importance and evidence. Top left, important and unproven, is what gets tested first; everything else is knowledge, or can wait.

When to reach for it

After the canvases, before you build. The canvases end as a picture; this method turns them into a list of bets, ranked by how much they would hurt if wrong and how little you actually know.

Worth knowing

The map is a decision, not a report. Drag an assumption to another quadrant and it stays there on the next run — the method’s job is to make you say out loud what you are only believing. The top-left corner is what an Experiment Card picks up.
